The codes can be used on their own (as specified) on the syslinux (initial) boot command-line or can be combined to specify more than one listed option, eg. livecd xres=800x600 keyb=de The latest list will always be available from the LiveCD website (CVS) which can be accessed from: http://livecd.berlios.de The following codes are available as of 24 January 2004: initrd Only boot the initrd, not the actual CD. This option is (mostly) only useful to LiveCD developers. livecd debug Prints usefull information (for developers) from the various scripts while loading the LiveCD. livecd eth= Override the detected network card module with the one specified. If you have multiple cards, eth[012]= will override a specific card only, eg. eth1=e100 will override the module for eth1. livecd fstab= Override the default generation of the fstab. Valid options, combined with "," are the following: auto or noauto and ro or rw. livecd home=usb Copy the user's home directory to a USB memory stick/pen device when attached. Once done, the option does not need to be specified on subsequent boots. livecd hostname= Sets the hostname for the machine, as specified by , eg. mybox.cool.com livecd lang= Override the default language (en), for the boot scripts and (eventually) CD language selection. livecd keyb= Use a different keyboard layout mapping from the one the LiveCD was built with. Do not use this option when booting from a SCSI device since the boot will fail. livecd nousb Disable the probing of USB devices at boot. Do not use this option when booting from a USB device since the boot will fail. livecd safex Don't allow our specified xbpp, xres result in an invalid configuration. If the user-specified resolution will not work for the current card, allow fallback to a safe detection default. livecd sound= Override the detected sound card module with the one specified. If you have multiple cards, sound[012]= will override a specific card only. livecd xbpp= Specify the bitdepth for X. can be one of 8, 15, 16, 24 or 32. livecd xdrv= Override the default driver chosen for your video card with . livecd xram= Use (KB) instead of the probed vide card RAM livecd xres= Specify the resolution for X. can be one of 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or 1600x1400.
